CARLO GUAITOLI
In seguito alle affermazioni ai concorsi Casagrande di Terni (1994), IMC of Japan di Tokyo (1995), Busoni di Bolzano (1997), Rubinstein di Tel Aviv (1998), Unisa di Pretoria (2000), si esibisce nei più importanti centri europei, negli USA, Canada, Giappone, Medio Oriente, Sud Africa, suonando come solista con prestigiose orchestre, tra le quali Israel Philharmonic e Israel Chamber Orchestra, Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Filarmonica di Stoccarda, Edmonton Philharmonic Orchestra, Filarmonica Toscanini, Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto.
Regolarmente invitato nelle più importanti sale da concerto giapponesi, tra cui Kioi Hall e Tokyo Metropolitan Hall, negli ultimi anni ha debuttato alla Beijing Concert Hall di Pechino, all’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma e al Festival Pianistico di Brescia e Bergamo, presentando in prima esecuzione assoluta la Seconda Sonata di Carlo Boccadoro a lui dedicata.
Musicista eclettico, interessato ai diversi linguaggi contemporanei, nel corso degli anni collabora con artisti di diversa estrazione, tra cui Tamas Vasary, Alexander Kniazev, Simone Rubino, il Quartetto d’archi della Scala, il Quintetto Bibiena, Wim Mertens, Antony Hegarty, Asaf Avidan, Alice, Enrico Intra, Alessandro Preziosi, Laura Morante. Ha registrato per Sony Music, EMI, Universal Music e Brilliant Classics e diverse sue interpretazioni sono incluse nei film Perduto Amor e Musikanten di Franco Battiato e Padri e Figlie di Gabriele Muccino.
Al 1993 risale il lungo sodalizio con Franco Battiato; al suo fianco appare alle più importanti produzioni discografiche e concertistiche in veste di pianista e direttore d’orchestra alla guida di prestigiose orchestre come la Royal Philharmonic Orchestra e l’English Chamber Orchestra.
E’ docente di pianoforte all’ I.S.S.M. Briccialdi di Terni e ha tenuto masterclasses per Showa University, Juilliard School, New York University, Kyungsung University e altre istituzioni in Canada, Cina e Sud Africa.

Prize winner in several international piano competitions such as Casagrande in Terni (1994), IMC of Japan di Tokyo (1995), Busoni in Bolzano (1997), Rubinstein in Tel Aviv (1998), Unisa in Pretoria (2000), he has performed around the world (Europe, USA, Canada, Japan, Middle East, South Africa) as soloist with orchestras as Israel Philharmonic and Israel Chamber Orchestra, Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, Edmonton Philharmonic Orchestra. Regularly invited to the most important Japanese concert halls, in recent years he has made his debut at the Beijing Concert Hall in China and has been invited to the Piano Festival of Brescia and Bergamo where he premiered the 2nd Sonata of Carlo Boccadoro dedicated to him.
An eclectic musician, over the years he has collaborated as a pianist and conductor with artists from different backgrounds, including Tamas Vasary, Alexander Kniazev, Simone Rubino, il Quartetto d’archi della Scala, il Quintetto Bibiena, Wim Mertens, Antony Hegarty, Asaf Avidan, Enrico Intra.
Since 1993, together with Franco Battiato, the renowned Italian composer and singer, he recorded and toured as pianist and conductor with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the English Chamber Orchestra and other major european orchestras. He has recorded for EMI, Sony, Universal and Brilliant Classics.
Currently professor of piano at the Conservatory in Terni, he has been professor at NYU in Florence for five years and gave masterclasses at the NYU Steinhardt, Juilliard School, the Showa University in Tokyo and the Kyungsung University in Busan.
